This patch contains changes to the build (configure) system and the code required to support the move. The patch is provided to isolate the changes from the others that follow it; the code won't necessarily compile after this patch (the next changes are required.) This "contrib" directory contains contributions which are not necessarily under the libpng license, although all are open source. They are not part of libpng proper and are not used for building the library.
